Dear EAGLE Phoenix South Community,

I am honored to join the EAGLE team this year. It is my pleasure to welcome you. Although this is my first year with EAGLE, this is my 30th year in education. Prior to joining the EAGLE team, I have served as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher, a district-level coordinator, a high school assistant principal, and a middle school principal. My career experience has taken me from a small district in Phoenix, to Scottsdale, Gilbert, Douglas, and the Kyrene School District. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, and an Ed.S degree from Grand Canyon University.

One of the things that drew me to EAGLE was what EAGLE stands for- Expecting Academic Greatness with a Loving Emphasis. Throughout my experience, promoting academic success for scholars while ensuring a loving experience has been my goal. It is my goal that all students feel loved, respected, and safe.

At EAGLE Phoenix South, we expect academic success and challenge our scholars to meet their learning goals. To set learning goals, teachers use ongoing assessments to track progress and identify needs. It is critical that learning gaps are quickly closed so scholars can reach their full potential. We also embed character education to ensure scholars develop responsibility, respect, integrity, justice, diligence, and courage.

I look forward to getting to know you and partnering with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 602-268-1212 or at stephanie.phillips@eagleprep.org.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Phillips

Principal EAGLE Phoenix South
